Carolina Mazalesky Biography

was born in Buenos Aires and is actually one of the most outstanding Argentinean violinists of her generation. She made her solo debut at 12 years old with Antonio Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons“ in the Golden Hall of Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. Since then she has started an international soloist and orchestral career.

She has studied in some of the most notable capitals of music, like Buenos Aires, Berlin and Vienna. She studied with Fernando Hasaj, Kathinka Riebling, and Hanns Peter Hoffmann and later received a Scholarship to Study at the Vienna University of Music and Fine Arts together with Professor Edward Zienkowski. In addition she has received Masterclasses and lessons with notable violinists including: Ivry Gitlis, Anna Gutowska, Stephan Picard, Petra Schwieger, Zakhar Bron, Rainer Kuchl, Werner Scholz, Akiko Suwanai, Goetz Bernau, Alberto Lyssy, David Taylor among others.

As a soloist she has collaborated with Orchestras and chamber music ensembles around the world and she plays regularly at the Chamber Music Festivals in South America and Europe, such as the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland, Buenos Aires International Music Festival, Curitiba Festival of Music, Mozarteum Academie of Music in Salzburg, Vienna International Chamber Music Festival, Aurora Internacional Chamber Music Festival in Sweden, Sommer Academie Festival of the Hanns Eisler Academie in Berlin, and she was a member of the Academie of the Radio Symphonie Orchestra of Munich in Germany.

She has performed in theaters around the world including the Berlin Philharmonic Hall in Germany, Tonhalle Zurich, Teatro Colon of Buenos Aires in Argentina, Oriental Arts Center Shangai in China, Tokio Opera City Hall in Japan, Auditorium Milano in Italy, Beethoven Hall Stuttgart in Germany, Viena Opera, Teatro Guaira Brasil, Centro Cultural Kirchner Buenos Aires, Konzerthaus Berlin, KKL in Luzern Switzerland, Colonia Philharmonic Hall in Germany, San Petersburgo Philharmonic , Music House in Moscú, Rusia and Musikverein in Vienna Austria.

As an Orchestral Musician and Concertmaster she was a member of prestigious European Orchestras and Chamber Music ensembles including the Chamber Orchestra of Berlin, the Orchestra of the Schonnbrunn Palace in Vienna, the Vienna Chamber Players, ensemble “La Partita Zuerich“ , the Berlin Symphonie Orchestra, and the Zurich Symphonie Orchestra. She was a concertmaster of the Ossodre National Symphonie Orchestra and the Symphonia Unanima in Vienna.

Nowadays she lives in Zurich Switzerland where she plays regularly and continues her collaboration with several Orchestras around the world.
